Personalized undergraduate planning and admissions guidance to help students and families navigate this path with clarity, strategy, and confidence.
Plan UR Path
Undergraduate Readiness
At Plan UR Path, LLC, the college advising process is designed to feel personalized, organized, and approachable from the start.
Every student's goals, timeline, strengths, and level of support needed are difference. Rather than placing families into a one-size-fits-all model, the process should begin with a complimentary consultation appointment to better understand how to provide the most meaningful support for your student.
OUR Process
I
The first step is scheduling a free introductory consultation through Acuity Scheduling.
The virtual appointment allows us to:
Discuss your student's academic background, goals, interests
Review anticipated college admissions timelines
Identify areas where guidance may be most helpful
Answer questions about the available services
Explore which level of support may best fit your family's needs
II
Following the consultation, we will discuss which advising structure may be the strongest fit for your student and family.
Recommendations are based on factors such as:
Current grade level
Academic workload + potential
College goals
Application timeline
Desired level of support
Family scheduling preferences
Together, we will determine whether a Structured Service Package, Tiered Service, or Á la Carte option is most appropriate unless you have already determined this preference.
III
Families may choose from three primary support paths:
Structured Service Package
Designed for students seeking comprehensive, long-term guidance throughout the high school and/or college admissions journey.
Best for:
Ongoing mentorship (min. 5 months)
Accountability
Strategic planning
Comprehensive application support
Tiered Services
Flexible monthly advising options for families seeking focused support with greater scheduling flexibility due to fewer sessions.
Best for:
Students with busier schedules and, as a result, canot meet as frequently
Targeted strategy sessions
Shorter-term support
Ongoing, focused guidance
Á la Carte Services
Single-session or specialized services tailored to specific needs within the admissions process.
Best for:
Essay review
Interview preparation
College list development
Application review
Parent consultations
Urgent deadline support
IV
Once services are selected, students and families begin working through a personalized advising plan tailor to their goals and timeline.
Depending on the service selected, support may include:
Academic planning
College search strategy
Application organization
Essay coaching
Interview preparation
Timeline management
Career exploration
Parent guidance
Following appointments, students and families receive individiualized summaries, action items, and recommendation to maintain clarity and momentum throughout the process.
V
The admissions process evolves over time, and advising is designed to adapt alongside your student's needs.
Throughout our work together, families can expect:
Clear communication
Honest and thoughtful guidance
Organized planning
Individualized support
Encouragement and accountability
The ultimate goal is to help students move through the college planning and application process with the greatest amount of confidence, a clear sense of direction, and, as a result, significantly reduced levels of stress around one of the most important times in their path through this point.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Is the initial consultation really complimentary?
Yes. The initial 30-minute consultation is entirely free and designed to help families better understand each of the available options without obligation.
Why am I only seeing a few appointment types?
The initial consultation is complimentary, which is the starting point at which all other services will be made the clearest as aligned with your student's / family's preference, priorities, and needs.
Most Á la Carte Services can also be scheduled on an as-needed basis after our initial consultation or if you prefer to skip straight to selecting the options that are right for you.
Specific Tiered Services and Structured Service Packages are private appointments that can be scheduled at your leisure based on your availability, though we want to be certain that the selected item meets your criteria before adding it to our respective calendars.
Does my family need to commit to a long-term package?
No. Some families benefit most from comprehensive advising packages, while others prefer collaborating for a shorter term as highlighted in the Tiered + Á la Carte services. However, the terms must be honored through the duration of services once a Service Agreement is signed.
Are appointments virtual or in person?
Appointments are currently held virtually via Google Meet with the intention of enhancing accessibility and allowing for more appointment options by reducing travel time for all parties.
Can families transition between services later?
Yes, but only in the following order:
Á la Carte Service(s) ➡️ Tier Service ➡️ Structured Service Package
Once a Service Agreement is signed for the longer-term options, reducing the agreed-upon terms will not be possible.
More support can always be provided, as advising recommendations may evolve as a student's goals, schedule, or application needs change over time. This is entirely your family's decision, however.
Why are some appointments only 1-minute in length?
Asynchronous services are designed to provide targeted support without a scheduled meeting. Any support included will be limited to what is described in the service details.
For example, an Essay Review (without consultation) includes thorough written feedback delivered through comments and suggestions in your Google Document. Unless otherwise noted, asynchronous services do not include a live consultation or appointment.
To explore the full range of support options available, please refer to our Tiered Services, Á la Carte Services, and Structured Service Packages.
